Minimalist maintenance: the 10 commandments (to be followed to the letter)

1. SPF 50+ mineral → for life, from the 3ᵉ week (the sun makes the lines disappear in 2-3 years otherwise).

2. No intensive tanning for the first 3 months

3. Hydration 3-5 times/day for the first 3 weeks (Aquaphor or Bepanthen)

4. Light daily moisturizing for the first 5-10 years

5. Zero aggressive scrubbing, zero essential oils, zero perfume on the area

6. Avoid tight or chafing clothing for the first 3 weeks

7. No intensive sports or sauna for the first 4 weeks

8. Preventive touch-up every 5-8 years (we offer a preferential rate)

9. Annual photo to compare evolution (we love to see our pieces age)

10. Come and see us as soon as a line fades → we'll adjust it free of charge if it's within the year.

FAQ - Minimalism at Archipel (questions we get asked 50 times a day)

Walk-ins possible? Yes! 80% of our walk-ins are minimalist pieces. Tuesday to Saturday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Does it hurt? Much less than a conventional tattoo. We use 1RL bugpin needles and anesthetic cream on request.

I want a tattoo on my fingers, how long does it last? 2 to 6 years maximum. We'll be honest with you: we can do it, but we'd recommend another location if you want it to stay clean.

Do you do free touch-ups? Yes, within the year, if the line fades abnormally (not if you haven't used sun cream).

Are you refusing locations? Yes: palms, soles, inside of lips. It doesn't fit, period.

How long before I can tan? Minimum 3 full months, and after that only with SPF 50+ reapplied every 2 hours.
