BEFORE/AFTER CARE
A beautiful tattoo is not only the artist's responsibility: skin preparation before the session and healing care afterwards are just as important. Respecting these steps ensures that the ink sets properly, the colors remain vivid and the design retains its sharpness over time.
The skin is a living terrain: irritated, dry, sunburned, the tattoo will not take well or heal properly. Similarly, skipping aftercare can lead to loss of detail, infection or premature discoloration.
That's why we give you instructions before and after your appointment. They concern your hygiene, your comfort and, above all, the protection of the tattooed area during the healing process. With a little rigor, you'll ensure the longevity of a brilliant tattoo, worthy of your investment and your experience in a tattoo parlour, with us, whatever your style.
CARE BEFORE
Avoid the sun (sunburned skin will not absorb ink well).
Arrive sober and fit
Make sure skin is well moisturized (exfoliate a week before appointment if necessary and moisturize)
Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing. They must allow the area to be tattooed to be seen (it is possible to stain them).
AFTER CARE
Second skin
Keep the protective film on for 5 to 7 days. Remove film immediately in case of skin reaction.
Never remove the film dry, preferring to do so in the shower.
Once the film has been removed, wash the tattoo gently with fragrance-free soap (available at the studio).
Apply cream twice a day (available at the studio).
NEVER scratch the tattoo during healing. Tap it to avoid itching.
Avoid swimming, bathing, saunas, sand and direct sun exposure for a minimum of two weeks.
Do not over-hydrate the skin.
Plastic film
Remove film 2 hours after leaving the studio.
Once the film has been removed, wash the tattoo gently with fragrance-free soap (available at the studio).
Start applying the cream the next day, twice a day.
Follow the same procedure as above.
All this information will be repeated to you, and a memory card will be provided at the studio.
Touch-ups, if required, will be defined by your tattoo artist and will be free of charge within 3 months if the healing process has been followed. If this is not the case, or if the deadline has passed, your artist will be able to charge you for them.
Tattoo care begins even before you go under the needles and continues long after the session. By following your artist's advice, you'll ensure ideal healing, durability and aesthetic appeal of your tattoo. These simple gestures - preparation, protection, patience - are the guarantee of a tattoo that remains clean and radiant over time.
